Hazardous Area Electrical Training with Extend Training
Extend Training provides you with the knowledge you need to perform safely and smartly in the field. Hazardous Areas are literally explosive situations. Specially designed electrical equipment is required to avoid explosive situations in such sensitive work areas. The last thing you need is a spark or a hot surface that might cause an ignition. The importance of a hazardous area course for training electricians cannot be over emphasised. Extend Training offers a 5-day course in Hazardous Areas Electrical Design that is engineering-level training for electrical/instrumentation engineers and designers.
However, there are prerequisites, if you wish to take a hazardous area training course and be awarded the Statement of Attainment. Hazardous Area Electrical Design course participants must hold an Advanced Diploma in an electrical discipline issued by an Australian RTO, or a Bachelor of Engineering in an electrical discipline issued by an Australian university or a university in a country that is a signatory to the Dublin, Sydney or Washington Accords. Demonstrated evidence of competency in installation planning and electrical design for standard (i.e. non-explosion protected) circuits and installations is also required. You must provide a detailed CV and examples of design documents. Learn more about these requirements at the Extend Training website —or give us a call if you have any questions. We’ll be happy to help you.
